I hear you guys. Wish I could’ve been there! A lot of folks wouldn’t claim to know art if it punched them in the throat. It seems like it takes a mob of marketers to beat it into people.

I, too, saw the Pixies open for U2 on the ZOO TV tour. And yeah, same deal: Great set, nobody cared. A real shame.

Thanks for the download link. You made my night. Ah, the Pixies… Ah, youth. I remember seeing them two nights in a row back in the nineties. One night in a college gym, the next night opening for U2 on the ZooTV tour. By happenstance I got tickets 5 rows from the front at the U2 gig and I remember being the only one standing up and singing as they played, thinking to myself: “Why the hell is everyone sitting down.” Frank and crew belted them out still and it was glorious. One of those moments that you know will be a lasting memory as you experience it.
This band is high up there with me.
