Just watched this. Unbelievably brilliant. Took me back to one of the “wow” moments of my life musically. I distinctly remember being in 3rd grade and hearing Soft Cell “Tainted Love” on the radio. I just remember thinking, “Wow, this song is the best thing I’ve ever heard.” Hooked on synth since the age of 8. And to think all these kids listen to now is Jonas Brothers and other utter crap.

Really great documentary. One geeky gripe — Ballard and Kraftwerk get their propers as strong influences. Devo gets a brief name-drop.

Suicide doesn’t even get a mention. Not even during Simon Reynolds’ talk about the emergence of the ubiquitous synth-duo.

Beside that, this is just fantastic. I can’t wait to see the rest.
