Robyn Hitchcock ‘I Often Dream of Trains’ concert film airing on Sundance Channel

Robyn Hitchcock

Set your DVRs: Sundance Channel has begun airing “Robyn Hitchcock: I Often Dream of Trains,” a concert film shot late last year in New York that features Hitchcock performing cuts from his classic 1984 solo album of the same name.

Directed by John Ediginton — who previously helmed the documentary “Robyn Hitchcock: Sex, Food, Death… and Insects” — the concert film will air four more times this month (see dates below), before being released on CD and DVD by Yep Roc this fall.

Hitchcock is joined for the concert by Terry Edwards (keyboards, horns, bass and vocals), Tim “Captain” Keegan (guitar, vocals) and some of the compatriots from Jonathan Demme’s “Rachel Getting Married,” in which Hitchcock appeared and performed.

In fact, Yep Roc has issued a teaser video to “Robyn Hitchcock: I Often Dream of Trains” that features Hitchcock and Co. performing “Up to Our Nex,” the song featured in the Demme film (which also appears on the singer’s 2009 album, Goodnight Oslo.)

Sundance Channel’s “Robyn Hitchcock: I Often Dream of Trains” (all times Eastern):

June 8: 4:05 a.m.
June 23: 4 p.m.
June 26: 4:45 p.m.
June 29: 7:50 a.m.
