Truth be told, we’ve never done much with the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival because the Tennessee fest doesn’t spotlight ’80s college-rock grads the way, say, Coachella does every year. But here’s a little taste of the just-completed festival that we can’t resist sharing: Tori Amos reprising her solo-piano cover of The Cure’s “Lovesong” (above), and Friday night headliner Kings of Leon tackling the Pixies’ beloved “Where Is My Mind?” (below). The video’s not great on the latter clip — it’s shot from pretty far off, but the sound’s not bad. Enjoy.

Tori’s version of “Lovesong” was shockingly horrible. Pixies’s cover was unavailable. Thank you greedy execs at Vector.

Are you f*cking kidding me? I am a HUGE (I have everything they have ever done, more than “connecting the dots”) Cure fan, but I have to say that I like Tori’s version better. I was never a big fan of the Cure’s. Maybe because it was the song that really made them mainstream, but I just didn’t care for it. As for Kings of Leon, I couldn’t care less. I’ll keep the Pixies.
