Yazoo, with Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet, to release ‘Reconnected Live’ concert album

Yazoo, 'Reconnected Live'

The 2008 reunion tour by Yazoo — or Yaz, as the Vince Clarke/Alison Moyet group was called in the U.S. — will be documented with a two-disc concert album called Reconstructed Live that’s due out this fall, the band announced today on its official site.

Although a tracklist hasn’t been unveiled, the live album — due out Sept. 27 in the U.K. — will include songs from the duo’s two albums, 1982’s Upstairs at Eric’s and 1983’s You and Me Both, including “Only You,” “Don’t Go,” “Situation” and “Nobody’s Diary,” the latter of which was performed live for the first time ever on the reunion tour, according to today’s announcement.

Clarke, one-half of Erasure and a onetime member of Depeche Mode, re-teamed with Moyet in 2008 for the first time in more than 25 years. At the time, Clarke said, “It’s been really good going back to these songs after such a long while.” Moyet added: “Playing the material live is not about revision for me, it is about finishing something we started.”
