1st Wave

We’re back once again with the playlist from “Dark Wave,” the weekly Sunday night outlet for goth and darker alternative on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave. This week’s installment features some pleasant surprises, including My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult’s “And This is What the Devil Does,” The Cure’s “Screw” and not one but two solo Daniel Ash tracks (“This Love,” “Walk on the Moon”).

“Dark Wave” airs each Sunday from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern/7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Pacific.

  1. caught the entire show. was great…minus duran duran of course. i’ll never understand why they continue to show up on there regardless of aNy explanation. oh and ‘the swans’…wow that is a horrible version of “love will tear us apart,” absolutely horrible. KMFDM was quite the surprise and dm’s “new dress” is awesome. first wave (and dark wave) will always be my friend. (and my wife thinks i have this weird crush on madison…i don’t! i really don’t! i promise!… ;)

  2. Although I like early Duran, I don’t understand why they are on Dark wave either. they were much more a pop act. Nice to see some Cetu Javu love. They were a great dance at the clubs in the 80’s
