With their brand-new studio album Lollipop now out, reunited SST Records vets Meat Puppets have unveiled European tour dates and two rounds of U.S. concerts — including an upcoming stint with Slightly Stoopid — that will keep the band on the road for the rest of the spring.
The band — founding members Cris and Curt Kirkwood, plus new drummer Shandon Sahm, son of Doug Sahm — play their first round of American dates with Slightly Stoopid beginning April 27 in Lexington, Ky., and running through May 7. Then it’s off to Europe for 13 shows across the second half of May, before heading back to the states for a 19-date trek mostly in the west June 8 through July 9 (see full dates below).
