Stream: Peter Murphy, ‘Memory Go’

Peter Murphy, circa 2011

The release of ex-Bauhaus leader Peter Murphy’s new solo album Ninth is still nearly three weeks away, but Nettwerk Music has dropped a fourth preview cut from the record: the rocker “Memory Go.” You can stream that track below, along with the three previously released Ninth cuts: “Velocity Bird,” “The Prince & The Old Lady Shade” and “I Spit Roses” (the latter of which you can also download here for free). Ninth arrives in the U.K. on June 6 and in the U.S. on June 7.

  1. I like this one the best so far, with I Spit Roses a close second.

  2. pretty boring to me. ‘The Prince…’ is kinda catchy. Overall just sort of cheesy imho. i don’t know much about anything though. i would prob listen to them one or three times through. Too contrived, computerized or clean, I’m not sure. Just makes me just want to listen to old Bauhaus.

  3. It may not sound like “old Bauhaus” but it certainly sounds like old Peter Murphy, circa his early ’90s solo stuff (Indigo Eyes, Cuts You Up, etc). I like it!
