Milestones: Siouxsie and the Banshees’ ‘Tinderbox’ released 25 years ago today

Twenty-five years ago today, Siouxsie and the Banshees released their seventh studio album, Tinderbox, which spawned the band’s first 12-inch release in the U.S. — and its first significant club hit — with the classic single “Cities in Dust.” To commemorate the album’s quarter-century anniversary, check out a pair of 1986 live performances of the record’s two singles on the French TV show “Decibels.” Above, you can watch the aforementioned “Cities in Dust,” and, below, check out “Candyman” — both courtesy of YouTube user Erasercuts.

  1. God, I love this woman. I hope she releases new material soon!

  2. May God hear you! If she releases new material half as good as “Mantaray”, that would be awesome.
