Contest: Win Japanese Popstars prize pack, featuring Depeche Mode, Robert Smith

Hotly tipped electronic trio The Japanese Popstars not only enlisted Robert Smith to sing on their new album, they’ve also just released a limited-edition 12-single single with an exclusive Depeche Mode remix — and now, thanks to the folks at Astralwerks, one Slicing Up Eyeballs reader can win both.

They’re part of a Japanese Popstars prize package that includes:

  • The Remixes limited-edition 12-inch EP featuring exclusive mixes of Depeche Mode’s “Peace,” 30 Seconds to Mars’s “Closer to the Edge” and Kylie Minogue’s “Better Than Today.” (For DM completists, this is the only way to get “Peace” on 12-inch vinyl, since that single famously wasn’t issued.)
  • Autographed copy of Controlling Your Allegiance, the new full-length CD featuring The Cure’s frontman on “Take Forever” (which you can stream here), as well as vocal contributions by members of Editors and Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.

To enter, simply drop a comment below — any comment. We’ll take entries until noon EST Friday, July 22. After that point, we’ll randomly select a winner, who will be contacted via e-mail — so please remember to use a legit address. Finally, per Astralwerks, the contest only is open to entrants living in the United States. Sorry, but those are the rules.

UPDATE: This contest is now closed. Thank you all for entering. We’ve randomly drawn a winner, and that lucky reader is AndyTheCureFan. Congrats.
