Video: Big Audio Dynamite debut ‘Rob Peter Pay Paul’ — first new song in 21 years

With little fanfare last month, the reunited original lineup of Big Audio Dynamite debuted its first new song in 21 years at a gig in Bournemouth, England — a mid-tempo rocker called “Rob Peter Pay Paul” that the band reprised the next day during its performance at the mammoth Glastonbury festival.

The emergence of BAD’s first new song since the 1990 soundtrack cut “Free” is a good sign that Mick Jones and Co. — who return to the U.S. next month — are working on that promised new album. Although it does appear, judging by this video and newly cropped publicity photos and artwork, that original keyboardist and short-lived BAD II member Dan Donovan is no longer with the group.

Check out the live debut of “Rob Peter Pay Paul” in the clip above.
