The Cure to perform ‘Reflections’ concerts in London, New York, Los Angeles in November

Shortly after being nominated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame today, The Cure announced it will reprise its “Reflections” concerts seven more times this November, and will perform their first three albums — 1979′s Three Imaginary Boys, 1980′s Seventeen Seconds and 1981′s Faith — in New York, Los Angeles and London.

Billed as the “final chance” to see these performances, the November “Reflections” concerts will feature the same lineup that performed two such shows in Sydney, Australia, earlier this year, with Roger O’Donnell, who’s now back in the band, and Lol Tolhurst contributing keyboards.

The concerts are set for Nov. 15 at London’s Royal Albert Hall, Nov. 21, 22 and 23 at Los Angeles’ Pantages Theatre and Nov. 25, 26 and 27 at New York’s Beacon Theatre.

Tickets for the London concert go on sale at 9 a.m. local time Friday via BookingsDirect.com. Four tickets per person maximum. Tickets for the Los Angeles and New York concerts go on sale Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Two tickets per person maximum.

Very excited for these shows! Hope to make it to at least one.

  3. SEVENTEEN SECONDS!!! MY FAVE<3 Whoo Hoo!!!

  4. PLEASE bring these shows to Chicago!!!! PLEASE!!!

(or it looks like I may have to travel to New York City)

  5. SEVENTEEN SECONDS! My fave… Definitely going to be there :D

  6. The fight for tickets will be epic. These are small venues, 2800 seats or so (LA & NY). However, since there are 3 days option-wise most people should be able to get them within the first 5 minutes.

  7. Just tour North America, Robert!!!!

  8. The Cure will probably tour NA next year. Usually this is how it works, they do some special shows and then tour.

  9. My feeling is that they may want to see how the smaller clubs go in LA and NYC, then if all sell out, they will extend it to other major cities. Duran Duran did that as well earlier ths year in NA, with a major tour about to happen.

  10. Steve, I highly doubt they will tour Reflections. They weren’t going to do it beyond Sydney. It’s a great show for the diehard Cure fans which there are plenty of in these cities. But I’m not sure how well this show would do in say Miami. The setlist only includes 4 hits: Boys Dont Cry, Lovecats, Lets go to bed, and the Walk. So the person who doesn’t know the first 3 albums will sit through 40 other songs they don’t know, lol?

Duran Duran are playing basically the same set list as they did last spring – a greatest hits set with a few new ones. Certainly nothing really rare or obscure to the level these shows are doing.

The Cure will probably do a full US tour in 2012, but it won’t be Reflections, it will probably look like the Bestival set list with a few new ones thrown in like 2008.

  11. Los Angeles on Monday through Wednesday? Why??
