Yesterday we learned the full tracklist of Q magazine’s upcoming full-album tribute to U2’s 20-year-old Achtung Baby, and now we have our first taste of the cheekily titled AHK-toong BAY-bi Covered: guitar slayer Jack White’s bluesy rumble through the album-closing “Love is Blindness.” The track premiered on BBC Radio 2 yesterday, and we’ve got a stream of it below via Consequence of Sound. Had a listen to Trespassers William’s cover. I disagree, Lotus. Jack’s version is way better. This sounds like it fell off a “Tour of Duty” album. I reckon U2 would wish their original had been this good.
