Video: Dresden Dolls, Mick Harvey, Brian Ritchie perform Violent Femmes’ debut

As promised, on Friday night at the MONA FOMA Festival in Tasmania, former Violent Femmes bassist Brian Ritchie and an ad-hoc supergroup featuring The Dresden Dolls, former Bad Seeds multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey and PJ Harvey collaborator John Parish performed the Femmes’ classic 1983 self-titled debut album in its entirety.

Below, you can see some pretty high-quality audience-shot video of at least six of the album’s 10 tracks, as Amanda Palmer leads the one-off group through dorm-room staples such as “Add It Up,” “Blister in the Sun,” “Kiss Off” and “Good Feeling.” Check it out below, and, of course, we’ll add more as the rest of the set (hopefully) surfaces on YouTube.
