BACKSTORY:
The near-mythic reissues of Kevin Shields and Co.’s two studio albums, not to mention a new 2CD compilation of EPs and unreleased tracks, are due for release this week in the U.K. after years of delays. ARTIST : Heavy Blanket
RELEASE:
 Heavy Blanket
BACKSTORY:
This week, Dinosaur Jr’s J Mascis releases a six-track debut featuring “blistering psych-drenched instrumental blues jams.” If the bio of the band is to be believed, Heavy Blanket dates back to 1984 when Mascis was playing in Deep Wound and involves a couple of guys named Johnny Pancake and Pete Cougar.
