Sonic Youth’s status remains a mystery, but its members are certainly keeping busy on the road: Here’s video, shared overnight on SY’s Facebook page, that was shot in the last week of Thurston Moore covering the Rolling Stones’ classic “It’s Only Rock and Roll (But I Like It)” in Rio de Janeiro and bandmate Lee Ranaldo (with SY’s Steve Shelley on drums) doing his take on Talking Heads’ “Thank You For Sending Me An Angel,” before segueing into his own song “Fire Island (Phases),” in Barcelona.
