Echo & The Bunnymen guitarist Will Sergeant this summer announced he’d enlisted former bandmate and current Wild Swans bassist Les Pattinson to take part in a new instrumental band called Poltergeist — and today they’ve debuted the first fruits of their labor, about two minutes’ worth of an untitled track that you can stream below.
The song, recorded in Liverpool this summer, features Sergeant, Pattinson — an original member of the Bunnymen who reunited with Sergeant and Ian McCulloch in 1997 only to leave the band two years later — and current Bunnymen drummer Nick Kilroe.
The group is recording an EP of original instrumentals.
