Video: Morrissey chats with Stephen Colbert, plays 2 songs on ‘The Colbert Report’

With his U.S. tour underway, Morrissey continued his American media tour Tuesday night, following up last week’s appearance on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” with a highly entertaining visit to “The Colbert Report,” during which Moz withstood ribbing from Stephen Colbert on topics such as the British monarchy, vegetarianism and, of course, The Smiths (with Colbert at one point pretending to bring out Johnny Marr).

Morrissey also performed “People Are the Same Everywhere,” which you can watch below, along with a web-only performance of “I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris.”

  1. Geez, he could’ve giggled at Colbert for even just a *little* bit.

  2. Video is blocked in France.

  3. Now its blocked completely. Bastards!

  4. Did you watch the same bit I did, Mikey? He laughed a lot. Fun interview.

  5. “People Are The Same Everywhere” is awful. He’s really just phoning it in there…

  6. The UK’s entry for Eurovision this year isn’t very good. It is however nice to see Moz is on GLeeMONEX.
