Free MP3: The Mission’s Wayne Hussey, ‘White Christmas’

Wayne Hussey of The Mission today delivered an early holiday gift to fans in the form of a free download of his new recording of the classic “White Christmas,” writing, “I do hope you receive it in the spirit in which it is given and I hope it may raise a smile to your lips along with a glass of red. As it does me. It’s just one those all time favourite Christmas songs that make me feel aglow inside. Hope you enjoy it.”

You can stream and/or download the track below, and see Hussey’s full note introducing the track.

O come all ye faithful………

Just wanted to wish a very merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your loved ones and as a token of my gratitude for your continued support for both myself and The Mission I have recorded a Christmas song just for you which is available as a free download from https://soundcloud.com/waynehussey/white-christmas

Giving music as a gift is, in my humble opinion, one of the very best things you can give as it is something, if you like it, that keeps giving and giving. Unlike, say, a book which generally you read once and stick on the shelf, or a DVD which may, if it’s good, get viewed maybe 3 or 4 times at most. But if there is a song that you like you will play that many many times over and for years and years.

Now, I’m not suggesting for a second that this Christmas present for you that I spent a recent afternoon recording is gonna become one of your all time favourites but I do hope you receive it in the spirit in which it is given and I hope it may raise a smile to your lips along with a glass of red. As it does me. It’s just one those all time favourite Christmas songs that make me feel aglow inside. Hope you enjoy it.

And remember, if you’re stuck for ideas for Christmas presents music is perfect for almost anyone, any age. There is so much great music out there. A couple of suggestions and personal faves for me this year have been Coexist by The XX, Smoke Faires’ Blood Speaks, the venerable Neil Young and Psychedelic Pill, and Tempest from the evergreen Bob Dylan. To mention just a few.

Anyway, have a great holiday season wherever you may be in the world and hopefully we’ll meet up somewhere and sometime in 2013. Already looking forward to it.

Saude!

  1. So, is it just me or is there no actual download link?
