‘120 Minutes’ Rewind: 120 X-Ray on the ‘bookworms and homebodies’ in XTC — 1988

For this week’s “120 Minutes” Rewind, we take a trip back to 1988 for an “120 X Ray” segment on the legendary XTC, filmed during the band’s recording sessions for Oranges & Lemons, which would be released the following year. In this clip (via MrPhilrand), the band are labeled “bookworms and homebodies,” and we get a bit of insight into the recording process — and footage of the band recording vocals for “Mayor of Simpleton.” Plus, at the end, Kevin Seal turns up in a tux.

no, no, it’s “bookworms and HOMEBODIES”. Much friendlier, that.

How about correcting the headline… it’s homebodies, not nobodies ;)

  3. Ah, yes, misheard that…

Although, in the eyes of the general music-buying public, they are, sadly, nobodies as well…
