Big Country debuts ‘In a Broken Promise Land’ video, extends North American tour

Big Country

The reconfigured Big Country — with The Alarm’s Mike Peters filling in for late frontman Stuart Adamson — already has been on tour in the U.S. and Canada since early June, and has now extended that summer-long North American trek with dates that run through the month of August. And even more dates are promised.

Plus, they found time to film a video for new single “In a Broken Promise Land,” off the band’s new album The Journey.

Below, check out the new tour dates and the video.

  1. Good News, too bad when they came to California they never hit major cities, just remote wineries. I don’t even drink or have the resources to drive to remote locations and waste money on gas and hotels just to see a band live. Will wait for the DVD if there ever is one.

  2. Hmmm. Derek Forbes is my favorite bass player ever. He is a master… nay… a god of bass! But I never liked Big Country or The Alarm. Hmm. Is it worth a trip to Charlotte just to see Mr. Forbes 29 years after his peak Simple Minds work ended?

  3. Wow – the resemblance between him and George W. Bush is uncanny.
