Video: Bernard Sumner and The Killers cover Joy Division’s ‘Shadowplay’ at Lollapalooza

Killers with Bernard Sumner

While New Order’s set at Lollapalooza in Chicago was not part of the festival’s webcast last night, those watching the livestream did catch a glimpse of Bernard Sumner when he joined The Killers onstage — as he’s been known to do in the past — to help the band perform its souped-up cover of Joy Division’s “Shadowplay.”

Below, you can check out that full clip from the webcast (via TheKillersSpain1).

And be sure to check out the rest of Lolla’s webcast this weekend: Full schedule and live video.

  1. Overall the Killers version is overkill, but that little bit with Bernard singing sounded good. It seems that the music sounds more tailored to Bernard’s voice

  2. Gaggin' Em Gabe

What is this, The Fisher Price remix?

  3. I watched this 7 times but I won’t watch it again until they bring back Hooky! I love you Hooky! Hooky sucks!

  4. They should have called their band The Coattail Riders.

  5. Of course there can’t be a single post about Bernard Sumner without some troll mentioning Peter Hook…
