Erasure unveils tracklisting for ‘Snow Globe’ holiday album, previews ‘Silent Night’

Erasure has unveiled both the tracklisting for its upcoming holiday album Snow Globe and detailed plans to offer fans a deluxe 3CD box set of the album that will include a second disc of alternate versions and some Christmas classics not on the record itself, plus a recording of the duo’s Christmas radio show on a third disc.

Erasure also is offering the first taste of music from the record via a short trailer that features the new recording of “Silent Night” (watch below).  The album will be preceded by the first single “Gaudete,” a medieval Latin carol that was a folk hit in 1973 for Steeleye Span.

Snow Globe — which finds Erasure taking a “minimal approach” to its mix of seasonal classics and holiday originals —is due out Nov. 11, and the box set is now available for pre-order via the band’s website. The box set also will include a Christmas card (signed by both Vince Clarke and Any Bell), a “festive tree bauble,” a desktop calendar, a set of Snow Globe postcards and more.
