  2. Lone Justice!!! This is the original line up: Maria McKee, Ryan Hedgecock, Marvin Etzioni, and Don Heffington. Interesting and on my list!

    • For sure. Lone Justice were kind of ahead of their time, I think, with what would eventually be marketed as the “alt-country” niche. I wonder how they would have fared if they’d come along after Uncle Tupelo, Neko Case and so forth.

  3. Interesting idea regarding the Midnight Oil reissues. I wonder if this will be remastering done properly.

    Agree about Lone Justice. That first album is an overlooked milestone. Maria McKee sure did (and still does) have a set of pipes!

  4. Culture Factory “remasters”? No thanks. I fell for their Robert Palmer, Mink DeVille, Motels reissues and they sound like ass.

  5. Listening to the new Lone Justice collection on that streaming service that starts with Spot… Sounds GREAT!

  6. By ‘least amount of compression possible’ I hope they’re talking about dynamic compression. I love the sound of my US Columbia pressing of ‘Diesel and Dust’ but this reissue sounds tempting…if they got the mastering right. I’ll be all over that Lone Justice vinyl, especially the red pressing!

  7. I was in college in 1985 when the Lone Justice debut was released. I got it shortly after it came out and all my friends couldn’t figure out what to make of it, but I loved it.

    Big Oils fan here too. Maybe one day we’ll get a reissue of “10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1” as well.
