Stream/Download: Auto Reverse — Slicing Up Eyeballs Mixtape (May 2014)

Auto Reverse May 2014

First: a mea culpa. Yes, the Slicing Up Eyeballs Mixtape Department has fallen down on the job, failing to produce a new entry in the Auto Reverse series since winter wrapped its cruel grip across this land. February, that is. That dark chasm of silence even prompted one loyal listener to email us: “Why do you hate the mixtapes?”

Well, we don’t hate the mixtapes, we’ve just been busy and fell dreadfully behind. Rather than make excuses or try to catch up with the missing March and April tapes, we’re starting over now that May is upon us. So below you’ll find two fresh 45-minute sides that you can stream via Mixcloud, or download, at least for a limited time, courtesy of the link included below.

This month’s tape features new tracks from Echo & The Bunnymen, Bob Mould, The Afghan Whigs, Roddy Frame and Peter Murphy, plus old favorites by Talking Heads, Flesh For Lulu, The Creatures, Morrissey, Tears For Fears, Translator, Love and Rockets and much more.

Check it about below — and enjoy.

I love the mixtapes! I do my back exercises to them. Without the mixtapes my back gets neglected and then sore. When my back’s sore I want to smoke pot. Don’t let me become a pothead, keep them coming. Thanks.

  6. Glad to see them back! Thanks

  7. I look forward to these! I drive shipping trucks and I always enjoy driving to these

  8. So is this the last SUE mixtape we’ll ever get?

  9. The highlight of a great Web Site…and they have not been seen since May! I would suggest that these should be a priority. Even Bi-Monthly would be good. Come on………
I sent an email at the end of July trying to find out where the “Mixtapes” had gone with no reply.
