Daniel Ash

With his new album Stripped now set for release Sept. 30, Daniel Ash continues to tease fans with tracks from the record, which will include electronic-flavored remakes of tracks from across his back catalog. The latest cut to emerge is a new, slowed-down take on Express classic “All In My Mind,” which you can hear in its entirety below (along with the original).

First off, it’s just the slow version of “All In My Mind” – sounds pretty similar.

And I thought old Danny-boy had tired of all those old songs…

  2. Yeah, there was a slow version of the song 28 years ago. That is also one of my favorites (not the slow one). Stop messing with perfection.

  3. If Daniel wants to revisit old tunes, there’s a whole mess of people that be willing to support a Tones on Tail revival. Just sayin’.

  4. I love the slow version of this song and this one sounds similar, but not as perfect as the original slow version. One of my favorite LAR tracks of all time! Still hear it as a 14 year old kid listening to my mix tape on my walkman. Perfection.

  5. oK, here’s $45k… *hops on the back!

    cool pledge gifts imho

  6. Whilst I contributed to David J’s eclipse I really could must any enthusiasm for a Ash album or rehashed old songs. I think Ash should have put an EP of four fave old songs as voted by fans and put the rest of the pledge money into recording a new album of material.
