New Model Army mix studio, live tracks on ‘Between Wine and Blood’ — stream ‘Guessing’

New Model Army

Long-running U.K. post-punk act New Model Army follows up last year’s Between Dog and Wolf — the band’s 12th studio album, and first in four years — with a new collection in September entitled Between Wine and Blood that combines a mini album of six new studio tracks and an 11-song live album recorded on the band’s current tour.

Below, you can stream the first single off the new collection, the studio recording “Guessing.”

On the band’s website, frontman Justin Sullivan writes:

“When we finished Between Dog And Wolf, we wanted to keep the momentum going, and with Michael (Dean) being unable to play live, the time became available to get back to writing and recording earlier than we had planned. Of course Michael was there writing and co-producing whilst he recuperated — along with Dean, Ceri and Marshall. The result is an eclectic and immediate-sounding New Model Army mini-album and feels to us like a logical move on from Between Dog and Wolf’s experimentation.”

Between Wine and Blood is being released in a limited-edition double CD hardback book, a double vinyl gatefold album and digitally. Preorders are underway, with a limited number of the CDs and recordings being signed by the bandmembers.

See tour dates below, as well as a full tracklist — and stream “Guessing,” the first single.
