‘Good evening, Pasadena!’ Depeche Mode concert film ‘101’ to screen at the Rose Bowl

The Depeche Mode concert film “101” — documenting the Concert for the Masses — will get a homecoming of sorts this summer when the Los Angeles outdoor film series Eat|See|Hear screens it where it was filmed on June 18, 1988: the cavernous Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena.

On Aug. 25, the film will be projected onto what’s billed as the “largest screen on the West Coast” at the famed stadium. There will be a yet-to-be-announced band performing, and a variety of food trucks on hand. Doors open at 5 p.m., the music starts at 7 p.m. and the film begins at 8 p.m.

Oh, and you can bring your dog (seriously).

Tickets to the Rose Bowl screening of “101” are $13 to $27, and are on sale now.

  1. I would love if DM would do 101 tour again with the same lineup of songs, maybe add ETS and PJ.

  2. Would love it if DM would play live 101 again.

  3. Here is my review of Music For The Masses from my Top 300 alternative albums list, which was the album Depeche Mode was touring to support when they filmed Anna’s recorded 101.

  4. I would love if Alan rejoined the band and they got rid of Anton Corbijn’s artwork. BORING. Martyn Atkins did far better covers.
