The Psychedelic Furs to bring ‘Singles’ tour to North America for 21-date run this fall

The Psychedelic Furs will follow up their spring and summer North American dates with Robyn Hitchcock — and concerts in Mexico, South America, Europe and the U.K. — with a just-announced run of 21 dates this fall in the U.S. and Canada.

Opening all of those fall shows except Boston: Bash & Pop, featuring The Replacements’ Tommy Stinson.

The new North American dates will be part of the Furs’ “Singles Tour,” previously announced for the U.K. in September, and will find the band “celebrating the many singles they’ve released throughout their career.”

Those dates open Sept. 22 in Florida and run through Oct. 22 in Brooklyn, largely sticking to the East Coast of the U.S., but with a show in Toronto and two in Chicago.

See the Psychedelic Furs’ full dates below.

  1. Haven’t they been playing the singles tour ad nauseam since the reformation in 2000?

    • Yeah. Now if there were playing the first album, that would be something to see.

      • Yes, that would be great. I also wish that they would start performing songs from Book of Days. It’s my favorite album of theirs.

    • Seems like they’ve simply become a nostalgia act.

      • That said, they put on a very entertaining revue these days. The lineup is ace, Richard is an extraordinary frontman, and Mars Williams steals the show.

You left us off the list! They will be playing at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC on September 27.

  3. Jodie Novak

No dates in Minneapolis. : (

  4. The Furs played First Avenue (in MPLS) on April 6th during their spring tour.
