Why is a Prince reissue listed?

Oh right! The big Minneapolis concert where Prince shared the stage with Husker Du, The Replacements, Rifle Sport and Breaking Circus.

    NOW I remember.

  2. I am far from convinced that the latest version of the Reed/Cale/Nico album isn’t another bootleg release. I’ve never heard of a version that was actually authorized.

Pre-Purple Rain, Prince’s heavily keyboard based sound was played on my local college radio station, next to Devo and Depeche Mode – album tracks from 1999, specifically. Works for me

Doesn’t me, but fair play to you, Murphy’s Law. Closest Prince comes to college radio are the covers by Hindu Love Gods and the Mary Chain, to my mind anyroad.

      • Agreed. Then again I also could never understand why Madonna and Kiss were listed in the “Spin Alternative Record Guide” book published in 1995. No wonder there was never a second edition.
