Morrissey adds second Hollywood Bowl concert with Billy Idol after quick sellout

After a quick sellout of the first date, Morrissey this afternoon announced he’ll play a second concert at the Hollywood Bowl this November with opener Billy Idol, a pair of shows that come about a week before the release of his 11th solo album, Low in High-School.

The new concert will take place Nov. 11, the night after the now sold-out first show.

Tickets for the new show go on sale 10 a.m. PST Tuesday, according to Morrissey’s Facebook page — which adds that there will be “no pre-sales, no codes.”

Morrissey is set to release Low in High-School, his first new album in three years, on Nov. 17.

Morrissey tour dates:

Nov. 10: Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles, CA
Nov. 11: Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles, CA

Thats what im sayin old school never dies

  2. I still cannot support this man after the comments he made praising people like Nigel Garage and Marine Le Pen and making dog-whistle comments blaming immigrants for the Manchester suicide bombing attack. I’m passing on this one. Will be happily seeing DM two of their four nights at the Bowl however.

    • Moz will be learn his lesson after reading your self congradulatory post! Sorry I won’t see you there. You seem fun.

      • I feel that Morrissey no longer displays any of the wit, humanity or empathy that made The Smiths such a great band and him somebody whom I deeply admired. When he praises and is praised by right-wing figures for his views on immigration and makes racially insensitive comments, he is somebody with whom I no longer identify. He strikes me as somebody who has become unable to deal with an evolving world and instead strikes out at “the others” because he is afraid of change, the complete antithesis of the Punk movement from which he originally emerged. Not really a terribly big fan of his anymore.

Is anyone regarding this with the LEAST little bit of apprehension, given his tendency to cancel in the past? Seems a Mozzer show actually going off has become as unlikely as a Smiths reunion.

    • These shows seem to big to cancel, or have Kristeen Young sneezing anywhere around the place.

I hope you’re right, Mike. I’m worried about his health, actually. Not ready for Steven Patrick to say “Thank you. Goodnight!” just yet.
