Morrissey today announced an eight-date tour of Canada this April, abandoning without explanation his decision 15 years ago to boycott the nation until its annual seal hunt is banned. That hasn’t happened, but Moz nevertheless will return to the Great White North, and part of the tour’s proceeds will go toward animal welfare charities across Canada.
The tour opens April 15 in Vancouver and wraps up April 29 in Montreal, and in addition to shows in Toronto, will stop in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.
Tickets are on sale 10 a.m. Friday local time.

Looking at the picture on the homepage, it appears Morrissey has had some work done on his mug…am I the only one who thinks so?
…And I get that he probably means well, don’t get me wrong – I like seals just as much as the next person, but why is it that Morrissey always comes across as such a total twat? What did he think not touring Canada would do?! Like their government would think “Oh no! Morrissey isn’t going to tour our great country, we shall abolish the annual seal hunt, forever! Viva Morrissey!”
