Cold Waves will return to Chicago later this month for its eighth installment, and this year a number of the bands on the bill are touring — together and apart — in the weeks leading up to the Sept. 19 to 22 industrial-music festival at the Metro.
The festival itself is headlined by Nitzer Ebb, Pop Will Eat Itself, Test Dept and Filter, and some of those bands, in addition to others on the bill, are playing shows around the country beginning this week.
The shows begin Thursday with Severed Heads and Pop Will Eat Itself playing in Seattle, with other shows featuring Test Dept, former Ministry bassist Paul Barkder and more. Nitzer Ebb is not joining any of these dates, but has its own tour plotted out, as well.
