Adam Ant to bring ‘Friend or Foe’ tour back to the U.S. for 16 more shows in 2020

New Wave icon Adam Ant still has five dates left on his current U.S. tour performing his 1982 post-Ants solo debut Friend or Foe, but he’s already announcing plans for a second American leg of that tour, a 16-date run next April and May that will focus on the western states.

Ant’s current tour opened Sept. 4 in Milwaukee and will continue through Oct. 1 in Miami, playing dates in the eastern half of the country. The 2020 tour, like the current trek, promises a full performance of Friend or Foe — which bore the hit title track and “Goody Two-Shoes” and “Desperate But Not Serious” — each night, plus “classic hits and personal favorites.”

A presale for the new dates begins at 10 a.m. local time today. The general on-sale for the new shows is 10 a.m. local time Friday. See adam-ant.com for full details.

  1. I’d go see this. His material waxed and waned over the years, but this album was one long ear worm.

  2. Finally, an excuse to drive to Chumash Casino! If only Marco P were on board…

  3. Go see him! He was amazing in Boston last week. We spent the entire evening dancing and singing along with him. Adam looks and sounds as terrific as he was back in the ‘80s.

  4. Waar is MArco eigenlijk gebleven. ?

  5. He put on a HELL OF A PERFORMAMCE in mashatuckette connetticut I saw him front row in the cwbter!! He was in TOP FIRM voice moves evrything much better than 2 yrs ago when I saw him at the beacon theater in NYC also I did see him this yr on BOSTON TOO but had not such great seats he was fabulous! 6. I saw him in Philadelphia and he was fantastic : the band is great and he’s spry and in good form.

  7. For anyone who’s seen this “Friend or Foe” tour… Does he do “Man Called Marco”? It would be weird if he left it out, but at the same time, it would be weird if he did it without Marco present.

  8. I saw his concert. I didn’t really know any of the songs. Not that big of a fan…

  9. He does do “Man Called Marco”, but without Marco’s vocal.

  10. I would definitely see him again! Adam! You need to visit the Midwest.
