INXS’s 1991 concert film ‘Live Baby Live’ to be screened in movie theaters worldwide

The INXS concert film “Live Baby Live” — capturing the band’s iconic performance before 74,000 fans at London’s Wembley Stadium in 1991 — has been given an “astonishing visual upgrade” and audio makeover, and will be screened in movie theaters worldwide this fall.

The film will screen in Australia and New Zealand beginning Nov. 14, internationally beginning Nov. 27 and in North and South America beginning Dec. 9. Screening information can be found at inxscinema.com.

The film has been restored over the last year from the original 35 mm film negative, and will now be presented in 4K Ultra HD in cinematic 16:9 widescreen. The restored version was created “by shot-to-shot repositioning of each frame,” according to the band. The audio will be presented in Dolby Atmos, courtesy of Giles Martin — the son of Beatles producer George Martin — and Sam Okell at Abbey Road Studios.
