Luck would have it in this unlucky 2020, that my birthday falls on a Sunday this year—August 9. I was wondering if you would do me the kind favor of playing Depeche Mode’s “Black Celebration” to mark my natal day on your next show? If you have a live version, that would be icing on the birthday cake. I would be most appreciative. As always, thank you for granting us the darker side of classic alternative on a weekly basis, Matt!

  9. Request:

    “Hamburger Lady”, Throbbing Gristle

  10. Request: Sisters of Mercy “Black Planet”

Keep up the good work, always looking forward to the new playlist, makes my workday on Mondays more tolerable :)

  11. Thanks for playing Electronic. On the next show if you are able to squeeze it in I would really like to hear David Bowie ‘Moonage Daydream.’ Have a good week Matt.

Firstly, thank you for my bumper sticker & 3 pin package. I ordered it before I went to Denver this past weekend, and arrived after I came home from Denver. I could have just picked it up in person while I was there! Thanks for playing Flipper, it’s always nice to hear them get some airplay, and I know you’ve played them before. Flipper Rules. Now, how about a request for Wayne County & The Electric Chairs? Maybe something from their “Things Your Mother Never Told You” LP, any song would seem to fit your show perfectly. Rock on…

  15. Please play this classic shoegaze

    Lose My Breath by MBV

  26. Dale Baggy

  27. Trent Raley

Loved, loved, loved all the mixes in this set! Digging up that gem, Spilt Milk, from The Cure reminded me how great their whole catalog is. It got me craving to hear my favorite combo off of Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me: Like Cockatoos and Icing Sugar. One of those in a future set (or the combo) would be great! Of course there’s Pirate Ships off the Disintegration b-sides too… Choices! You make the call! =D
