Thanks Matt for playing PYLON, love that band. Would not have expected to hear them on Dark Wave, but they are very close with Gang Of Four, who also got played tonight. Next week, I’m still wanting to hear something by Death In June, All Pigs Must Die, or Little Black Angel. Also, how about something by Dead Or Alive, while Wayne was in the band, say It’s Been Hours Now, or The Stranger. Thx…

  14. How about one full hour of just artists from 4AD?

  15. Hi Matt, thanks for the show. My request is “Courts or Wars” by Second Layer.

  16. Blew me away with the Beatles cover. Fantastic show!

Speaking of Jazz Butcher, ‘Real Men’ is also incredible.

‘Junk’ by Bronski Beat – I just rediscovered. Bought ‘Age of Consent’ when it first came out because the controversy over the content and Nazi borrowed symbolism on the cover was too hard to resist.
I hated the album! Except for ‘Junk’ which I just added to my playlist and getting traction out of it all over again! Just like the masterpieces you bring to the table for us every week.

So Grateful and Thank you! Never Stop!

  17. Great show this week. Especially loved the first hour. The Gang of Four and Jazz Butcher cuts were awesome.

For sometime in the future, maybe:
“She’s Going Down” by The Lucy Show off Remembrances
“Barbie” by Tristan T off Alt

    Thanks. Stay healthy.

  18. Nice lineup Matt, especially 2nd and 3rd quarter.
Would like to hear Higher than the Sun-Primal Scream. Have a great week.

  19. Thank you, Matt, for your ever inspired set lists!! My birthday is on 9/9, so I was hoping you would play a song for me… any song of your choosing, but perhaps Bauhaus “Rosegarden Funeral of Sores” or NIN “Happiness in Slavery” (side note – were you there last year when he played that at RR?! I went bananas!!!) or Visage “Fade to Grey”? All that requested and said, thank you for sharing the lovely darkness!!

  20. Love the dark shoegaze addition. Thanks.

  21. I really enjoy hearing all the great music I apparently missed growing up in the 80’s and 90’s.

I’d love to hear “BadLife” by My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult if you’ve got room.

    Thanks again!

  22. Hi Matt,
Would you please play No Hope, No Fear by Borghesia?
Thanks for playing the best music!

  23. Hey Matt,

Can you play Requiem by Killing Joke? Badass song. Thanks either way

  24. Please play peter Murphy’s the sweetest drop

  25. Flawless show!! Can we hear the following in an upcoming show?

New Model Army – Better Than Them
Peter Murphy – Tale of the Tongue
The Bolshoi – Books on the Bonfire
    The Primitives – Summer Rain
    Ride – OX4

  26. Would love to hear some dark Marc. Examples would be
Soft cell: “best way to kill” or “meet murder my angel”
Marc & the mambas “torment” or “black heart”
Or the Violent Silence album “body unknown”. Doesn’t get much darker than that.

  27. Thanks for playing Pylon on your show. ❤️
