  1. Hope this playlist is actually what was meant to play versus what was actually played tonight and is available to stream. C’mon SiriusXM management you guys seriously need to do better than the BS on the technical end and what was “played” tonight for Dark Wave. Matt deserves much better as do those of us that pay for this service.

  2. Matt, I know you are a fan of side 2 of Disintegration by The Cure. Will you play your favorite live version of any side 2 song?

  3. “Lost Girl”(Live) by Eleven Pond
Even though the show was all screwy tonight you still had picked a great line up and what was played was great for some reason my version of the show was playing the songs up until the Ultravox song then it played “Dancing With Tears In My Eyes “ then played “Melt With You”by Modern English then went back to the show and stopped half way through The Snake Corps “Victory Parade” so I don’t know what was going on but what ever it was still a good show over all
Great Opening and well great songs to end with even though I didn’t hear New Order or The Chain but yeah great ending and start
    Thanks Matt.

  4. Glad I got to hear most of the show. Hope the on-demand has the full thing without the Bannanarama (or however you spell it). I have to give it to Hour 1 this week. Great choices all the way around though.

Thanks very much for The Veil. Greatly appreciated. Since the April Fool’sish episode is next time, I’ll pitch a request in that vein: “I Want A Freak” by Sexual Harassment. If not, Happy April Fools in any case.

Thanks for the great show. Have a good week.

  5. You’re worth the wait. 2020 was going to be the year I finally, FINALLY, got to see KMFDM…I’ve already seen the Melvins. Thank you kindly for the NIN. Could we hear:

My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult- Waiting for Mommie

Tell them they better start acting right.

  6. Fernando N

I’m thinking of a lesser-known song by the Eurythmics which happens to be “The Walk”.

  7. What happened too last nights show??!! 2 hours late then chopped apart by 2 A.M. And why is it Dark Wave gets no replay throughout a week?? Everything else gets a rebroadcast spot but Dark Wave don’t. Why?? Is 10 or midnight now for Dark Wave airing?

  8. Enjoyed the balance in each hour. And the live choices.

    Here are some requests –

The Smiths – maybe something live off of Rank?
Iggy Pop – China Girl (in honor of the The Idiot, which came out on 3/18/77)

    Thanks!

  9. Can you dig up “Inside Out” by the Mighty Lemon Drops for next Sunday’s show? Thanx!

  10. Paul Rafanello

The Ultravox tune is Dancing With Tears In My Eyes

  11. Concrete Blonde – Caroline

  12. For Mariam, thank you for being relentlessly you.

“2nd Thought”, by OMD (Organisation, 1980)
“Dreams Of Leaving”, by The Human League (Travelogue, 1980)

  13. Hey Matt! I’m so thankful for the app after all of the technical difficulties last night. It is worth the wait as others have pointed out! Here are some possible suggestions for next time:

Iggy Pop – I Wanna Be Your Dog
    Medicine – Time Baby
    Pixies – Bone Machine

    Thanks as always!

  14. Thank you for the New Order last night!

  15. Ted Graves

Great show as always. I love the intro to “Israel” from Nocturne with the orchestral performance of “The Rite Of Spring”. It’s awesome when the music swells as the crowd cheers the band coming on stage. Speaking of samples, how about New Order’s “Murder” next week? Can’t go wrong using bits of Caligula and 2001.

  16. Matt,
Like a lot of people I was very confused last night when Dark Wave didn’t start. I thought maybe it was because of daylight savings time or maybe the show was canceled. After an hour I gave up and went to bed. My only saving grace was the fact I had to drive from Austin to Houston today and what better way to spend a 3 hour drive than streaming Dark Wave on the SiriusXM App.
How’s that for a commercial plug?
I’m glad I made it to the Front Line Assembly track. It reminded me of the stuff they did with their side project Intermix.
We’ll enough rambling. Thanks for playing all the requests. Here’s one for next week.

    Steroid Maximus- Quilombo

  17. Can you play Fracture

  18. Big episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
    Shriekback, “The Big Hush”

Also, the prologue of “Israel” by Siouxsie and the Banshees was magnificent!

  19. Hi Matt,

Is there room to play, “In a Manner of Speaking,” by Martin Gore?

    Love that one. Thank you.

  20. Hi Matt,

Is there room to play, “Things you Said,” by DM off of the 101 Live album?

    Love that one. Thank you.

  21. Hi Matt,

“Things you Said,” by DM off of the 101 Live album would be awesome.

    Love that one. Thank you.

  22. This week its play list hour 3 Matt. Have a great week.

  23. Heather Copley

Thank you SO much for playing Throbbing Gristle!! That was a weekly feature on my college radio show

  24. October Who

Consider adding Martha Wainwright’s Bloody Mother Fucker to an upcoming playlist

  25. Disenchanted is the best Church song on their best album. May I ask for A Month of Sundays on a future show?

  26. How about some DAF ? Haven’t heard Gabby in while.

  27. Disenchanted may be my favorite song of all time. Any chance Already Yesterday is in a future show? Thanks!
