  1. Just a heads up: Any requests made here will be considered for the April 17th episode, as I had to get next Sunday’s show put together early and that playlist is already set.

    Thanks!

  2. Thank you so very much for the Cramps. Since you enjoy covers, I was 100% going to request In Every Dream Home A Heartache by Fields of Nephilim but clearly your Frankenstein radio controls were in full effect tonight. Strange. So, my pocket plan B is the first Wax Trax! release:

    Strange Circuits- Industrial Living

    Always a pleasure sir.

  3. Can you dig up “Dear Heart” by Cocteau Twins for April 17th’s show? Thanx!

  4. Great episode tonight. I liked that song Streetcleaner by Godflesh.

  5. Thanks for the Blue Hollow. Hour Two definitely killed it this week, though Hour Three gave it a run for it’s money. Loved the Shoegazey block this week.

For a future episode, would like to ask for “Life on the Telephone” by Flag of Convenience please.

This was an awesome show tonight. Looking forward to listening to it again and again this week. Thanks and have a good one.

  6. Fernando N

The next one I have a hunch for is “I’ve Been Waiting For Tomorrow (All Of My Life)” by The The

  7. those first few surprise strums of When The Sun Hits, the hairs on your neck go up, you put whatever you were doing down, but really you’re just anticipating that ridiculous guitar shred to kick in circa 45 seconds. Lovely. Never gets old. Thank you.

  8. Thanx for playing Pain Teens. I forgot they has put out music in the late 80’s.
There was a regional band out of N.Y.C. “Of a Mesh”
They Put out 2 E.P’s. Any of their music would be cool if you can find it…

  9. Thank you for this weeks show – I can’t wait to listen to it in its entirety! And thank you for playing my Slowdive request….that genre is so beautiful it sometimes takes my breath away.. Anyway some possible suggestions for next time:

Jesus and Mary Chain – April Skies
    Bjork – Army of Me
    The Cure – Push

  10. Great set. Haven’t heard Pain Teens in ages. Album closer “Noh Jam” from Born In Blood is positively EPIC, if you haven’t heard it. Might fit in well as a transition to or from Ministry or Godflesh — and something in a different genre — in a Dark Wave set.

Very clever, playing a track from that particular Roxy Music album right before the Smiths. Per Wikipedia: “Morrissey told the British press that he could ‘only think of one truly great British album… For Your Pleasure.'”

  11. Hours two and three were killer.

Here are some requests for 4/17 –

Galaxy 500 – Here She Comes Now
The Gun Club – Promise Me

    Thanks!

  12. Stranglers – Tank

  13. Loved your show especially the Daniel Ash. I was wondering if you’d play Love and Rockets
Haunted When The Minutes Drag. Thank you for your consideration!

  14. Adam Faulds

I received a survey from Sirius XM and asked for a Dark Wave channel hosted by you. Hope you don’t mind. Would love that as 3 hours a week isn’t nearly enough. Anyway, please, at your convenience, play:

Peter Gabriel – No Self Control

    Thanks,
    Adam

  15. Another killer show. I’d love to hear “S. Day II.” by Pink Turns Blue on a future episode. Thanks for the work you put into this show.

  16. The Jam – Butterfly Collector
Sham69 – If the kids are United
Stiff Little Fingers – Alternative Ulster
    The Stranglers – Tank

  17. Truly outstanding show last Sunday – it got me back into Ultra Vivid Scene!

I’d love to hear one or more of the following on the next show:

Lush – “Love at First Sight”
    Swoon 23 – “Shady Hands”
Spirea X – “Chlorine Dream” (single version)

  18. Damn good episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
The Damned, “The Shadow of Love”

  19. Dealers choice. Anything from Dirk Wears White Socks.

  20. Thanks for the great show Matt!
I have some special requests for Sunday the 17th since its my birthday. There is a great track from The Last Temptation of Christ.
    Peter Gabriel-The Feeling Begins(Passion)
It has a great build and ends with this big echoing boom of a drum. It would make a real dramatic opening to the show, not to tell you how to program your set but…
Also, being my birthday as it is, one more request
Love and Rockets-Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven
    Thanks

  21. That Au Pairs track was great. A Resurrection Sunday suggestion: ‘Easterhouse’s ‘Get Back to Russia’

  22. Please play this Sunday for me the following tunes on Dark Wave

Wire -Ahead, Secession- Touch, Kundalini Express – Love And Rockets, and or Alice – Sisters of Mercy if you can.
Massapequa was a New wave strong hold in the 80’s and I miss it. Spit was the best alternative club ever and they play great trax and I hope someone remembers besides me. The place was packed on the ALT nights and the music was un believable. By the way I think Dark Wave is awesome , but extend it out to some obsure alternative as well. TY Eyeball
