  1. Really great show tonight! Goodnight!

  2. Tough to call this one. Giving it to Hour 1 for The Names/Simple Minds/100 Years. But Hours 2 and 3 were pretty tight. Great show all around. Thanks for it.

Would like to ask for some Iron Curtain. “Like a Family” or “Quiet Mind” or “Black Gloves” maybe.

Thanks and hope you have a great week.

  3. The photo shows the Death Cult lineup with Ray Mondo but, wasn’t Nigel Preston the drummer on Gods Zoo?

  4. Can you dig up “Sick For Toys” by the Sugarcubes/Björk for next Sunday’s show? Thanx!

  5. Exceptionally great show Matt top to bottom! I’m amazed of how consistently good your show is after all these years!

I’d like to request “Be Brave” by Section 25.

    Thanks

  6. Kyoto Song: The Cure (bbc sessions)
Gone: Comsat Angels (eye of the lens)

  7. Thank you so much for continuing to put together these incredible playlists every week! Your show is easily one of the highlights of my week.

I’d like to request something from The God Machine – either “Ego” or “Home”. Thanks!

  8. Henry Griffith

Please consider playing “Motorcade” by Magazine. Thx, Randall

  9. Tough to pick a favorite hour, as this DW was one of the best this year. Thanks for the Executive Slacks, andfor the punk block, in hour three.

    Here are some requests –

    Sort Sol – Marble Station
    Lush – Superblast!

    Thanks!

  10. With Head Cut I think you’ve played the entire Juju album. Some great deep cuts this week and All About Eve was a special treat. Thanks.

  11. Incredibly strong show from start to finish Matt. Didn’t think you could top that first hour but the third knocked my socks off, especially from 1919 to the end. Hour two was also killer. Thanks for playing Rudimentary Peni, I love that cut, and the Tones and Tail track.

Request for next week: The Light Pours Out of Me – Magazine

    Have a great week, cheers!

  12. Hey Matt! Wowza what a set! Thanks for the DM. I think I’ll stick with my dArK theme this week – some possible suggestions for next time:

Jesus and Mary Chain – Deep one Perfect Morning
Concrete Blonde – Tomorrow, Wendy (2010 digital remaster)
    Sisters of Mercy – Emma

    Thanks as always!! 。◕‿◕。

  13. Play Dead – Celebration

  14. Paulie Fidgets

    Shriekback: Clear Trails

  15. another great set. Thanks yo!

The MBM play brought some tracks in the kinda dancy kinda hip-hoppy, kinda industrial vibe to mind, maybe for a future episode where you’re goin for a similar thing:

Renegade Soundwave – Kray Twins (or Cocaine Sex 0_o)
Consolidated – This is a Collective
Tackhead – Reality or Ticking Time Bomb

Dunno if any of those fit anytime soon… thanks for bringing back the memories of them last and their maxi-singles last night!

for a maybe more on brand suggestion, how about Telephone Thing by The Fall?

  16. Nathan Lesnar

Thanks for the Pink Dots request Matt…Now whilst most of their contemporaries were shoegazing, Camden based Silverfish were straight up gutting folks with their raw, aggressive, and utterly profane sound. HIPS TITS LIPS POWER is a Pigface anthem, but true credit goes to Silverfish and the incomparable Lesley Rankine (Ruby). Its a chorus from her song “Big Bad Baby Pig Squeal.” Would you be so kind to play it?

  17. Nathan Lesnar

Had to brag about the World Violation Tour, huh Matt? Lol. Those shows achieved legendary status.

First “real” show I attended was the 93 Devotional Tour in Atlanta. Its the point where the wheels started to fall off for Depeche Mode, but a spectacle it was. AND the opener was THE THE. Hard to beat as a first show.

  18. Good set

    Two requests:
Sex Gang Children – The Crack Up
March Violets – Slow Drip Lizard

    Thanks!

  19. Dan Koschnick

Great set! Some ideas for upcoming shows:
House of Freaks, When the Hammer Came Down
    Opposition, Five Minutes
    The Sound, Winning
    Gene Loves Jezebel, Bruises
    Killing Joke, Darkness Before Dawn
    Thx much!

  20. Angelic episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
    The Comsat Angels, “Dark Parade”

    “The darkest parade
    Parade
    Parade
    Parade”

  21. Thanx for the Pink Dots!!!

  22. Matt
Thank you for what you do. I started listing 2 years ago and havent stopped
Would you please play Interlude by Moz/Siouxsie?
That’s really all i want for Xmas.
    G-Man
