Classic synthpop outfit Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark this week announced they’ll release their 13th studio album — the group’s first record since 2013’s English Electric — this September, to be followed by a fall tour of the U.K. and Europe. We’ve got the first song released off the new album.

Back in February, when Midnight Oil announced its global reunion tour, the band also revealed plans for not one but three giant box sets: a collection of the band’s 13 albums and EPs on vinyl, another compiling those releases on CD plus a DVD of videos, and a third featuring a truckload of unreleased material.

Cherry Red Records continues its series of imagined sequels to the NME’s famed C86 cassette with the release this summer of C88, a three-disc box set featuring music released in 1988 by then-indie acts such as The Stone Roses, The House of Love, Kitchens of Distinction, The Vaselines and more.

Boston-bred alt-rockers Buffalo Tom will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their third album Let Me Come Over with a new reissue next month that pairs the original record with the band’s first-live live release: a 17-song set recorded in London in 1992. The Mission next month will release an expanded collectors’ edition of its 2016 album Another Fall From Grace, offering fans a five-disc set that will include the full album, bonus material and videos spread over two CDs, two LPs and a DVD, plus a 20-page limited-edition book.

Former Jam frontman Paul Weller this spring will release his 13th solo album, titled A Kind Revolution, a 10-track collection he began work on immediately after completing 2015’s Saturns Pattern and which features guest appearances by Robert Wyatt and Boy George.
