This week’s installment of The AV Club’s Undercover 2012 series finds mash-up stars The Hood Internet doing a number on The Pretenders’ 1982 single ‘Back on the Chain Gang,’ slowing it down and punching it up with samples of rappers Rick Ross and Gucci Mane.

The Pet Shop Boys this morning announced they’ll release ‘Elysium’ — their 11th studio album, and first since 2009’s ‘Yes’ — this September, and are previewing the release with a ‘short film’ for downtempo album track ‘Invisible,’ which you can watch here. The film made by Los Angeles artist and filmmaker Brian Bress.
