Simple Minds reveal tracklists for ‘Celebrate — Greatest Hits+’ double-, triple-disc best-ofs

Simple Minds today revealed the tracklist for the new best-of collection it first announced last fall, confirming that the band’s career-spanning ‘Celebrate — The Greatest Hits+’ will be released this spring in a 2CD, 36-song format as well as a 3CD, 50-song edition with each version featuring a pair of new songs.

Morrissey to reissue tweaked ‘Kill Uncle,’ release 3 new songs as B-sides to ’89 single

It’s not all bad news these days for Morrissey fans: The ex-Smiths singer today announced that he will reissue his sophomore album ‘Kill Uncle’ this April along with his 1989 single “The Last of the Famous International Playboys,” the latter of which will feature three new, previously unreleased songs as B-sides.

The Breeders confirm ‘Last Splash’ 20th anniverary concerts in North America, Europe

The ‘Last Splash’-era lineup of The Breeders — Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs, and Jim Macpherson — have confirmed a rash of new North American and European dates on their tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of that album. 4AD Records plans to release a deluxe 20th anniversary reissue in April.

Morrissey postpones concerts in Las Vegas, Phoenix ‘due to doctor’s orders’

Morrissey this evening announced the postponement of two more concerts on his troubled North American tour — shows in Las Vegas on Saturday and Phoenix on Sunday — “due to doctor’s orders” as he continues to undergo treatment for a bleeding ulcer and Barrett’s esophagus, according to his official Facebook page.
