As part of their Kickstarter campaign to raise $75,000, the makers of the documentary “Beautiful Noise” have released footage of their interview with The Cure’s Robert Smith in which he discusses his love of the Cocteau Twins and how that band’s 1984 album Treasure helped prepare him for his wedding.

The Breeders reunite for ‘Last Splash’ 20th anniversary concerts in U.S., Europe in 2013

The ‘Last Splash’-era lineup of The Breeders — Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs, and Jim Macpherson — has reunited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that album and its breakout hit “Cannonball,” and will reissue the record in a deluxe edition and then perform it live on tour in the U.S. and Europe in 2013.

Wire resurrects unrecorded material from 1979-80 for new album ‘Change Becomes Us’

U.K. post-punk legends Wire today announced the release of their fourth post-reunion album and 13th overall, a 13-track collection called ‘Change Becomes Us’ that is due out next March and “began as an exploration of unrecorded material originally written in 1979-80,” according to an e-mail the band sent to fans.
