Today marks the release of Peter Gabriel’s new ‘Live Blood’ — featuring performances of classics such as “Solsbury Hill,” “Don’t Give Up” and “Red Rain” with a full orchestra recorded in London last year — and we’ve got three copies of the album to award to lucky Slicing Up Eyeballs readers.

The Charlatans this spring continue their somewhat haphazard reissue campaign by following up expanded editions of 1990 debut ‘Some Friendly’ and 1999’s ‘Us and Us Only’ with a double-disc re-release of 1997’s ‘Tellin’ Stories’ — which will be followed by four performances of the album in the U.K. this June.

Duran Duran has released the full tracklist and cover art for its upcoming live package “A Diamond in the Mind,” set for release in the U.K. on July 2 on all-region DVD and Blu-ray, in addition to a deluxe edition that features the 19-song concert film on both formats in addition to a bonus CD with 14 of those songs.

Men Without Hats are set to release ‘Love in the Age of War,’ their first album in nine years, this spring, and last week frontman Ivan Doroschuk premiered the album’s first single, “Head Above Water,” on Montreal’s CHOM 97.7. For fans of The Cure, today — April 21 — is significant for two reasons: It’s Robert Smith’s 53rd birthday and it’s the 20th anniversary of the release of ‘Wish’. So, as we wait for the alleged deluxe reissue of that 1992 album, here’s a little something to bide your time: the out-of-print VHS release ‘Play Out.’

On Saturday, Public Image Ltd. will release its first new music in 20 years in the form of the ‘One Drop’ EP, a Record Store Day release featuring four tracks off the band’s upcoming full-length album ‘This Is PiL.’ We’ve already heard lead single “One Drop,” but now comes a second new PiL track: “Lollipop Opera.”

Seminal British shoegazers Ride — signed to Creation Records in the late ’80s — next month will release a 20th anniversary reissue of their sophomore album ‘Going Blank Again’ that will packaged with the DVD debut of the 1992 VHS release ‘Going Blank Again: Live at Brixton Academy’ featuring newly mixed audio.
