Southern California punk giants Bad Religion dropped by TBS’ “Conan” show last night to spread some Yuletide cheer, ripping through their appropriately raucous take on the classic hymn “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” off the band’s recently released holiday album, Christmas Songs.

This week’s new releases include box sets collecting albums from the Ramones and Ultravox, a new collection of Christmas songs form punk legends Bad Religion, plus expanded reissues of the first six albums from Bananarama, as well as The Godfathers’ 1993 album and Belfegore’s sophomore effort.

It’s nearly Halloween, which, uh, means it’s time for Christmas carols, right? Turns out Erasure isn’t the only group delivering a new holiday record this year: Southern California punk kings Bad Religion will put a decidedly rougher spin on seasonal classics like “Hark! The Herald Angles Sing” and “O Come All Ye Faithful” next month with the release of the aptly titled Christmas Songs.
