Close Lobsters set majestic single ‘Godless’ — off new LP ‘Post Neo Anti’ — to video

Like so much in our lives, the release of the Close Lobsters’ new music video ran into a bit of a roadblock back in March when a certain global health pandemic ground most everything to a halt. But now, a few months later, it’s ready, and Slicing Up Eyeballs is thrilled to premiere the clip for the band’s majestic single “Godless.”

The reunited original lineup of Scottish indie-pop outfit Close Lobsters today released a brand-new EP that marks the band’s first recordings in a quarter century, and we’re thrilled to premiere the video for one of the tracks, “New York City in Space,” here on Slicing Up Eyeballs.

True to its name, the 2013 installment of NYC Popfest will be an indie-pop lover’s dream, as the organizers have pulled off a booking coup, landing rare American performances by C86 veterans Close Lobsters and The Wolfhounds as well as U.K. post-punk act The Monochrome Set and an appearance by The Bats.
