If you didn’t buy The Smiths’ ‘Complete’ box set last year because you’d rather cherry pick which albums to get, you’re in luck: Later this month, Rhino Records will release, in the U.K., standalone CD editions of each title in the set — all four of the band’s studio album, plus three compilations and a live album.

This week’s new releases include brand-new albums from Thomas Dolby (first in 20 years!), Magazine (first in 30 years!) and Skinny Puppy, plus the U.S. version of The Smiths’ deluxe ‘Complete’ box set, the Peter Gabriel ‘New Blood: Live in London’ DVD/Blu-ray and ‘Fac. Dance,’ a compilation of Factory Records 12-inches.
This week’s new releases include Jane’s Addiction’s new studio album (‘The Great Escape Artist’), the U.S. release of The Smiths’ ‘Complete’ box set, R.E.M.’s ‘We All Go Back To Where We Belong’ digital single, The Japanese Popstars’ remix EP of the Robert Smith-assisted ‘Take Forever’ and reissues form Pop Will Eat Itself and The Proclaimers.
Mike Joyce, former drummer of The Smiths, will dedicate his weekly Coalition Chart Show on New York City’s East Village Radio entirely to his old band this morning, playing two hours of hand-picked cuts from the new Rhino Records-released ‘Complete’ box set.
