Having performed Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” at a pair of tour stops last week, Arcade Fire added a special treat during its Sunday night headlining set at Coachella: Debbie Harry herself, who joined the band to sing the 1978 hit. The Blondie frontwoman stuck around for “Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains).”

Debbie Harry took to Twitter last night to shoot down reports in the U.K. press that she was planning to retire from music next year, thereby ending Blondie following the release of its next album, which is expected out this year. Not so, Harry tweeted: “No plans to stop working, don’t believe everything you read.”

Blondie and Devo last night wrapped up their joint U.S. tour with a concert at the Chicago Theatre, and Debbie Harry marked the occasion today by tweeting this photo of the two bands backstage together. Blondie still has a few scattered U.S. dates planned in the coming weeks.
