Dinosaur Jr announces new album ‘I Bet On Sky,’ 29-date fall North American tour

Dinosaur Jr today announced they will release their third post-reunion album, the 10-track ‘I Bet on Sky,’ on Sept. 17 in the U.K. and Sept. 18 in the U.S. and then embark on a 29-date North American tour this fall. The band — J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph — recorded the album earlier this year. See tour dates here.

J Mascis releasing album of ‘psychedelic instrumental blues jams’ as Heavy Blanket

This spring, Dinosaur Jr’s frontman will release a six-track, self-titled debut from Heavy Blanket, which Outer Battery Records describes as ‘blistering psych-drenched instrumental blues jams from J Mascis and his stoner buddies.’ The album is due May 6 on CD and vinyl, plus a super-limited run of 200 purple-vinyl copies.
